My great grandmother, Ann Kenny came to the United States from Ireland. She came alone when she was just 18 years old, looking for work because of the Irish Potato Famine. Her family was struggling to support themselves, so her being the oldest came to the United States to get a job and send money home. When she got to Ellis Island she met up with her uncle who found her a job as a chamber maid with a wealthy family in New York. Her Brother John then came from England on March 3rd 1923, and arrived in Ellis Island on march 13. The name of his ship was the Baltic. But i do not know if they ever met up with each other.This is my great grandmothers citizen certificate, when she came to the United States.
